CORRUPTION PAMPERS GOVERNMENT

Unrelenting efforts are now being waged by the government to increase the revenue collection nationwide. ProAD lawmakers support the campaign of PGMA but to some they oppose the campaign and speculate negative effects such as uprising from the militant groups. As usual, the values of a Filipino vary from one person to another. We can not satisfy everybody from the same time.
We are a rich nation and history can prove that. Other ASEAN countries 2 decades ago are just learning from our technology and systems of governance. But now, they are leaving us behind because of anomaly and corrupt practices in the government. This is now a common argument in the academe and several theses had been introduced to resolve the issue.
Fighting corruption in the government had been promised by almost all of our presidents but it seems it is just being ignored after the elections. PGMA told us in her SONA to eradicate corruption in the government. But, we are experiencing different levels of corruption in her administration. Remember, NAPOCOR, GSIS, AFP and the GOCC’s?
If, PGMA can‘t pull the trigger against the erring government officials, perhaps let us call the attention of the Senate and Congress hence they have parliamentary immunity. They are in the better position to fight corruption by exposing anomalies of workers in the government- and they are free from any suit. Alas, an inquiry with GSIS and AFP are now under process, hopefully these hearings give us crystal-clear resolutions. Imagine the alleged 1.4M US$ stashed away by that General. What’s the name again? How many of them are doing these horrendous activities. Small wonder why, young officers of the AFP are trying to expose anomalies of the “games of the generals.”
Sad to say, these young officers are just very young in blood and they need a stronger foundation to succeed in another Oakwood. They need the strength of the grip of the “Lion’s Paw” of Judah. The children of God. In due time, “mga hijo.” These generals are tamed from military discipline and they have aged-old into the marrow of their bones. They may be your senior officers then…but, in due time, like Gen. Garcia they will be smitten by a seething maul to a sudden change of their fate.
