Luisita resumes milling operations as tension eases

Sabi ng mga matatanda, iba ang iniisip ginagawa na. Ang katotohanan mahirap ang mag-sulat para sa diyaryo, maliban sa teknikal aspect nit ay ang mga masasagasaan na pulitiko, Ma-impluwensyang tao at organisasyon at dahil ang mga writers ay progressive mag-isip tinuturing ang left leaning o militante ang iba.
Pero tulad ng lahat ng bagay at propesyon may mga “rotten apples”. Ika nga yung mga tipong inaabuso ang kapangyarihan ng pagiging “mediamen”.
AC-DC ang tawag sa kanila, bakit AC-DC? Ito umano ay abbreviation ng “Attack anf Collect, Defend and Collect” Attack and Collect tactic…Tirahin ng tirahin sa dyaryo ang isang tao institusyon hanggang sa maki-usap sa editor o writer, kolektahin ang fee para mahinto ang paninira. Ang depend and collect naman , pag may sinisiraan sa isang dyaryo o ina-attack nilalapitan ang party na tinitira nito at hihingan din ng pera para-idepend naman sa ibang dyaryo.
Ngunit meron pa ring mga tlagan matatawag na totoo sa kanilang propesyon maliit man ang kanilang sahod ay pinipilit na lang pagtanggap ng mga contractual na editorial jobs. Tunay pa rin sa kanilang propesyon.
Sabi ng isang senior editor ng Tarlac Obsever, isang defunct na local newspaper, ang pag-susulat sa dyaryo ay hindi lamang propesyon, ito ay full-time na Public Service at kaakibat nito ang malaking responsibilidad upang magpahayag ng katotohanan.
